If you feel that The Fish Doctors Captain, Crew, or vessel did not earn your money, we will do whatever it takes to make it right. Captain Geoff is the full-time owner and operator of The Fish Doctors and wants to make all his customers, repeat customers.

The Captains and Crew

In addition to their experience and training, you will have a great time on the water with Captain Geoff and/or Captain Chris. Of course we are going to make every effort to keep you entertained reeling in fish, but there are inevitable lulls in the action and we know you will enjoy the care we take to make your trip enjoyable. Catching fish is a blast but part of your prescription is for relaxation. Kick back with the friends you bring for a game of cards or just sit in the sun and talk about the good times you have had fishing throughout the years. If there is anything we can do to make your trip more enjoyable, just speak up and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Video Recorded Fishing Trips 

Video Recording of your trip! The Fish Doctors will provide you with a keepsake video of your fishing trip. Of course we will provide you with a still photo at the dock with your group and your catch as all the charters do. We take it to the next level by also providing you with a DVD recording of selections from your outing.  Show your freinds who couldn't make the trip, what they missed. Then have them make an appointment with The Fish Doctors. This is available through NO other charter we know of on the Great Lakes. What a great keepsake!

The Port

Port Washington is consistently recognized as the best fishing port on the shores of Lake Michigan. More trophy fish including record sized fish have come from Port Washington. The numbers per boat tend to be higher here than anywhere else on the lake. The fishing grounds are easy to access. In many cases, you don’t have to go more than a quarter to half mile off shore to be in to fish. Less time motoring means more time catching.

Fishing Equipment

Charter fisherman who are on the water nearly every day, have more or less, a level playing field. We all know roughly what the fish will be doing day to day. We can all guarantee you will catch fish. We differentiate ourselves by the equipment. When the weather or the mood of the fish throws us a curve, equipment can be the difference maker between a few fish and a full cooler. The Fish Doctors has the latest sonar for the best possible picture of the water around us.

The Fish Doctors supply you with the finest in tackle and technique. We use Shimano rods and reels and run every presentation in the book, from copper, lead core, wire, downriggers, dipsey divers, pounders, and planing boards. Each option provides a presentation for different conditions and fish positions in the water column. If there are fish in the area we can put something in front of them they will bite.

SAFETY

I wanted to highlight this part as it is paramount. We participate in a voluntary inspection by the U.S. Coast Guard every year. These inspections are not required of us as we are considered “Uninspected Vessels” by the coast guard. However, the Captain’s #1 responsibility is the safety of his passengers and crew. I know of no serious incidents which have occurred with a charter boat in or near Port Washington, but it is always best to be as prepared as possible.
